About me
I help you navigate the messy parts of life, build confidence and find peace day-to-day.Hallway Therapy is a path to find your way.
I became a therapist because I love connecting with people. I believe everyone can benefit from exploring the changes and challenges in their life with compassion, reflection and encouragement.
My goal is to create a space where you are seen, understood, and feel you can bring your whole self into the room.
Getting to know you, uncovering insights and helping you integrate strategies and skills that make a difference in your life is what makes this role meaningful for me.
My approach
A holistic view of psychotherapy.
Working with you through the unique lens of you as an individual, we'll move from the ground up. Starting from where you are today, we'll create a plan to support you in managing your daily life and future aspirations.I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities that allow me to personalize our work together. I'm guided by your goals, presenting concerns, and preferences, including what has and has not been helpful in previous therapy settings. Together, we will explore what feels useful and adjust our approach as your needs and objectives evolve.-
CBT explores the connections between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how these patterns can shape our experiences. It helps us notice patterns that may be getting in our way and explore practical strategies for meaningful change.
-
DBT offers practical tools for managing difficult emotions, navigating relationships, and coping with stressful situations. Integrating DBT skills helps us feel more grounded, develop greater emotional flexibility, and practice responding to challenging moments with confidence.
-
EFIT is an attachment-based therapy that helps us develop a greater understanding of ourselves and our emotions and offers a framework to create new ways of responding and relating to others.
-
Mindfulness-based approaches use present-moment awareness to help us slow down and notice what is happening without immediately reacting to thoughts, emotions or physical sensations.
Mindfulness practices help us feel calmer and create space to allow us to choose how we wish to respond to situations or circumstances.
-
Narrative therapy invites us to explore the stories we carry about ourselves and our lives, particularly the ones that may leave us feeling stuck. Narrative therapy makes space for a fuller story, one that includes strengths, values, relationships and resilience.
-
SFT guides us to where we want to go. This approach builds on your existing strengths and helps you identify small, realistic steps that move you toward the changes you want to make.
My background
My experience as a social worker and therapist spans both community service settings and private practice.
I began my career as a social worker supporting youth with substance use, mental health and housing challenges.
After moving into private practice, I began supporting individuals and couples through life transitions, conflict, stress, anxiety, loneliness and depression.
Since becoming a mother, I have expanded my focus to help mothers, fathers and couples through pregnancy and postpartum as they navigate shifting dynamics and changing demands.
